Edson) and a small bottle of Early Times as well as one of Paul Masson Brady from my lil brother an his family ......he knew I needed the books to escape into or the booze to drown myself with in dealing with our ma ....hahahahahahaha........but to be fair she (ma) was very happy with her present of my lil brother an his youngest daughter showing up for the holidays for couple days........So far the New Year has not been a big winner hahahaha but hey it just started huh?? hahahahahaha maybe a slow burn fuse to fire it off with we will see hahahahha

Santa gave a bunch of people in this area some nasty malicious viruses.  Which means santa gave me a bunch of work. I'm not too happy with santa right now, I suggest he not show up for at least a year or I will not be able to hold to my resolution to not stab someone.

Also, it would seem that the new years eve elf or spirit or whatever...gave everyone at the office the flying flu (everything comes flying out of both ends).  Which means, yes, more work for me.  This would not be so bad if I somehow got paid more but I do not so....yeah.

bastard!  :D  He gave my honey the flu too.   It is quite obvious that these city people here need to buck up their immune systems.  At work...the same amount of people are down...it's just switching.  They all laughed at me and my lysol disinfectant  wipes.....they aren't laughing now, by god.

On a better note, I'm going to a fine art show and then attending a "legs" themed night at a social club tomorrow.  That's right...black seamed thigh highs and a sassy skirt and top(and a small pack of lysol disinfectant wipes ...I found out about the travel size) :D and dancing . Wheeeee!

Santa didn't bring me shit. The first thing that happened to me on New Year (literally minutes after the new year arrived) was that the computer stopped wanting to load the internet. I'm in the process of saving all my important stuff to disc, and then I'm going to reformat this mofo and hope that will help with the attitude adjustment. If not... hopefully she holds out long enough for me to get the laptop I'm going to be wanting for RV living. Fingers crossed there.

I worked Christmas for a co-worker so I got tripple time and we all got a catered in prime rib dinner. Not bad at all. Company I work for gave out very generous mastercard gift card and the kidlet got me a tablet since I'm having knee surgery next. So far the new year has been kind, only a foot or so of snow and one ground blizzard. No complaints.

When are you having knee surgery K9?  Partial or total?  Or arthroscopic clean out?  Have you found a good surgeon?

We have several holiday celebrations...old fashioned Christmas at Daughter and grandkids...her house is very much like the one on the old "Father Knows Best" series...had a Norwegian celebration with a long, grand table, homemade lefse, etc...at friends' place on a lake, the parents of our sculptor friend and his chef wife...the chef prepared most of the meal...then we had New Year's at the sculptor and chef's home...visitors from out east and all around.  Cold night.

I worked on Xmas too. I got time and a half, and no generous anything. Yet another reason I'm leaving this company!

And speaking of prime rib dinners... We got one of those once at a company I worked for a long time ago. They gave us the choice of prime rib (wait... no, it was filet mignon) or shrimp. Of course I chose the cow. And then asked the waiter to put mine in a to-go box when we got there. People looked at me like I was crazy, but of course, I was a vegetarian. If the only options you're going to give me are beef and shrimp, I'm not going to turn the dinner down... I earned that dinner! My dogs had a lovely snack when I got home from it though. :D

Never seen such horror on people's faces. People kept saying, "Well, I'll eat it if you don't want it!" No, thank you. I earned that food, and my dogs are going to enjoy their Xmas dinner! *lol*
