to all of you...

That fireplace looks to be the size of ours but it has two doors so must be bigger than it looks.

ours has, maybe an eighteen inch opening .

stay snug and warm and you two have a great New Years Eve.

Thats my plan also, sitting in front of the wood fire raising aglass or two to your heath, given this we will not be going anywhere....

Snow squall warning in effect.

Today, 31 December Flurries at times heavy and local snow squalls. Local amount 5 to 10 cm. Local blowing snow. Wind west 30 km/h gusting to 50. Temperature steady near minus 9. Tonight, 31 December Flurries at times heavy and local snow squalls. Local amount 5 cm. Local blowing snow this evening. Wind west 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light late this evening. Low minus 13

.The only thing certain is that I will be 'resting my eyes' as 2014arrives and that at 3pm EST dec 31st scrooge has dumpedall the content in the old forum already and I for one have notreceived any email notifying of the new forum. I do hope that all theregulars that have not been on in the last few days find us.....

Cheers and a Happy New Year to you all

Love that fireplace! I am huddled in, keeping warm by the wood stove. Going to be single digits and below, but I don't think it will be -22!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It is 1 F, snowing, and a windchill of -9 F.  Animals have all been fed extra, brought another load of fuel in the house for the stove, and I plan on knitting the rest of the afternoon and evening away sitting near the stove with a couple of dogs and a cat snuggled in next to me.

Happy New Year to everyone in our new temporary home.  Thank you to all who made it possible.

We are tipping a glas in front of a fireplace tonight as well. Tomorrow is fly-home time, providing the storm currently dumpin on theChicago area does not delay our flight.  Fingers crossed! - Its time to go home.

Happy New Year, one and all!!!
