Just watching the year end show on MSNBC w/Chris Hayes.

He did a whole segment on batshit crazy insane Congressman Dr. Paul Broun from Georgia, who is every bit as crazy as a Texas Rethuglican.

He heads the congressional science committee and says the earth is 6,000 years old...tops. He's a MEDICAL DOCTOR and is on tape as saying, "Evolution? Embryology? All that stuff they teach in school? All lies straignt from the pits of hell".

His Legislative Director? The person who advises him on how to vote and what to say and writes his damn speeches and bills?

*My daughter*

Some days I can barely stand it.

Despite a parent's best effort, a child may not see the forest for the trees. As a parent, you hope to hades that some day that big a$$ tree hits your offspring on the head to wake him/her. And if that fails to happen, insinuate the X chromosome that her father's contributed is the problem.

Then again, an intervention may be in order. De-programming is an option.

Funny thing about fundamentalists. They can put forth any theory and not feel they have to prove it with fact, logic or common sense. All they have to say is "the spirit moved them". And of course, we all know that "our religion" is the only true religion.

More sightings of BigFoot than there were instances of in-person voter fraud. Hence the pukes, Broun included, need to change their focus.

I understand your shame.

I don't tell many people this...it's about as bad...ok, here it is...

I have a cousin...

who's an Elvis impersonator.

Now ya know. We all have at least one of those family members.
