Col and I decided this weekend to sell off the 50 acres next door. We bought it as a "buffer". For the last 10 years our closest neighbours have been about a kilometre away.....

I have to bushhog the whole shebang each year and with diesel prices on the up that may end up as a luxury, rather stick to the 60 acres we have the development on. We have not utilised it for the last ten years apart from the cottage which we refurbished for WOOFer quarters.

Put some money in the bank and buy that TLB I have had my eye on for quite some time now :)

Had a great weekend, stayed inside because it never went above -40° and watche football. Gaining daylight and even went through the seed catalogues. -44° this morning out at our place, but it should be warming throughout the day. I love our woodstove.

warmer than we expected today...24 above.  Cloudy, damp air makes it seems colder.

Hey Rob, perhaps you and Kez should buy Al and Coleen's 50 acres...

It's a thought.  Are you still going to Mexico, Bruce?

We couldn't buy anything for a few years. It sounds like you need to sell now. Besides I'm not one anyone should count on for anything right now. Our lives and plans are less than firm.  It could be fun though.

The thaw continues here in NH, should have close to another 50F degree day.  Looks like really nice weather down on my land as well.  However, we all know winter is far from over.

Yes...but not to live, just a visit in the sun, on the sand...Caribbean side.

Took the Maxter to the vet and he had healed but had infection under the scab. Vet kept him for overnite and I pick him up tomorrow. I may as well get ready to grovel cause he is going to be one mad little guy. Run bunches of errands then called the Pulmonary Dr since I hadn't heard back from the ultrasound on my leg. It was ok...no clots so I can get back to the exercising. Cloudy here today with rain showers intermittently. The Muscovy ducks are the only ones enjoying this. Mud is knee deep.

It was almost 60F here in NH today but rained all day.  53F right now at 11:30pm.

Jeeze, Jo - we were down by Marengo over xmas.  Had I realized just how close you are, we would have met up!

Well, temps went from -44 yesterday to (so far this morning) +6 !!!  We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave..... Honey, lets watch Grumpy Old men tonight!

Got my wish, sunny and high 40's. Only supposed to last through today then colder and rain. Got 1 stall cleaned and just came in for a salad. Started on the two weeks from hell on the South Beach diet. Need to loose a few pounds and I know the South Beach works but I'm sure not looking forward to two weeks with no fruit or bread! Looks like I'm going to have to take my Shitz Tzu to the vet. Limping on a front foot and appears to have a knot in the top of the foot. He's not gonna be happy...he hates vet visits. Had to spend almost an hour cleaning the burrs off of the horse that was getting his stall cleaned and all 4 barn horses are the same. Got a bucket of the burrs off him. So glad that hay is finished.

I put a message up on the new new forum under Livestock, etc.  Try spraying the burrs with WD-40.  Supposed to make them slip right out.

Is that safe for the critters?
