I still haven't heard from Karen in over two days.  I hope everything is ok on her end.  I may have to look at other server options if things are not going to work out with her company.

Don't stress over the time - THIS is the rushed, cobbled together temporary solution.  The permanent solution can take a while, if it needs to.

Tobit - don't "fret" over the issue.  Karen may have had big plans over the new year.  We have a way to communicate, and while we don't have all the bells and whistles we had before, we're doing fine.  Last time I checked, we had over 60 people signed up.  Wheee...

Anybody heard from New Colorado?

Yeah well...I'm not one to make excuses however. I just want to say I haven't had a day off since December 5th.  My furnace caught on fire yesterday and this morning a router went out at our data center.  I have a server in my living room I am trying to ressurect and shit is just hitting the fan all over the place.

Because this is the stuff that happens when you are trying to get something else done.

At this point I'm about as cranky as Neil. So. I could care less about a lot of things right now.  Keep your britches on tobit. If you can't make it through a few days of digital LIFE....you will never make it on a homestead.  That said...again...at this point I could really care less. Hopefully all will work out tomorrow I make no guarantees.  No one in my company even knows about this because firstly...they won't let me do anything without money first so I cannot tell anyone ...I just have to slide it in there and pay for it myself first.  So don't let this reflect on the company.....however the other thing is...most of my crew went down on NYE with the projectile puking and I beleive I have narrowly escaped the plague.  So the only one that has actually worked in my entire company the last three days is me.  Because I'm not sick and delerious shitting and puking.

Merry Festivus and happy motherfucking new year.

:D

That felt good :D

Karen, please don't be offended by my boredom (which is all it is).  I know you've had a rough couple weeks.

And don't be offended by my exhausted frustration. It's all good.

While too much cussing can be at best unattractive and at worst....make you look like an idiot, I find that well placed cussing makes a fine point not otherwise made by more mundane wording.

The word "bullshit" makes quite a statement, I have found, in board rooms with male executives that have never worked with a woman of power (yes I said it), usually following, "I'm sorry but, that's"

Also this usually makes a fine point as well and it causes such a look on people's faces I purposefully look for places to say it, "Don't spit in my face and tell me it's raining."  Then if they look confused I get to say, "Put plainly, that's just bullshit"  :D

Saying bullshit has been giving me a thrill in most high rises these days LOL  I actually blame the female execs I run across though because it was to them that, in sympathizing with their plight, I started saying bullshit and they would get wildly excited...because they don't dare cuss and there I am....cussing.  So it started with the following...in about November:

Female exec: ...and then, you know what that guy told me? Blah blah blah blah blah

Me:  Well......frankly that's just bullshit.

*shocked pause*

Female exec: YES! YES IT IS! And you know what ELSE? Blah blah blah blah blah

And that was when I realized the power of bullshit.  No shit.  :)
